We have moved the workshop to an other place where we have more room (1200m²) and a large area for stocking our wood, so that it can dry slowly and naturally.
Now that we are working with 6 people we need more space, also because being 6, we can accept bigger orders. And we can realize an old dream: we will open a museum with a workshop in working order of the 19th -begin 20th century, with period machines and woodworking tools.
We will also open a smithy.
We work only purposemade and in solid wood. Our method is traditional, which does not mean that the form has to be traditional too. We are specialized in restoration work and copies of old carpentry, often in classified buildings, and the restoration of furniture. Every discipline is used, also woodturning, veneering and sculpture.

Afterwards he worked several years with a retired carpenter and got his certificate of qualification as a carpenter at the Arts et Metiers-Institut Diderot in Brussels in 1985. Afterwards he completed his formation with a course in traditional rooftimbers (Crepac 1991).
Diederik worked after his training at the Leeds College of Arts several years before joining our company in 2008. He will take over the management in 2015
Henk Lutjeharms started as an independent carpenter-furniture maker in 1981. He specialized in carpentry and furniture in solid wood with the traditional techniques. An important part of his work consists of restoration and copying of old carpentry. He works since 2008 with two young men and mostly for specialized jobs in smaller buildings.
In 2012 we changed the firm into sprl Lutjeharms, with Diedrik and myself as associates.
